The room featured a beautiful French-style bed with an ensuite bath that provided ample hot water. Little touches like herbal tea and fresh milk added to the experience, making it very comfortable. The dining was a highlight. the exceptional food and well-thought-out vegan options impressed everyone in my group. this place was super welcoming, the staff were all so nice and made us feel right at home. the food was out of this world, especially loved the meals we had in the courtyard. our deluxe double room was comfy and warm, perfect for a cozy night in. breakfast was also great, no rush to eat which was a nice touch. overall, a very pleasant stay and we will def be comin back!
only a lil bit of road noise but it wasn't too bad. also, parking was a bit annoying with all the stones but that’s just pickin.

A Cozy Retreat with Delicious Meals!
Our family enjoyed two delightful nights, warmed by a crackling fire. The locally sourced food exceeded our expectations, with the chef's passion evident in every dish. For future guests, opt for a room away from the road noise for a restful night. A true gem in Lydford!

Spacious Deluxe Double Room with a cozy atmosphere, perfect for settling in after a long day. The overall decor reflects a unique charm, making every corner feel inviting and warm.
Noise from the busy A386 can be a real disruptor for light sleepers, especially with heavy trucks rumbling past from early morning. The double bed felt a bit cramped for two adults, which impacted overall comfort during the stay. Limited nearby amenities leave you with few options if you're looking for variety outside the hotel.

We loved the relaxing atmosphere while enjoying a meal in the cosy dining area, where we appreciated the wooden tables and delightful decor. The breakfast options were fantastic, and everyone in our family, including the teens, found something they cherished.
My kids wished there were more activities to keep them engaged, especially in the evenings.

Perfect for food lovers
We had a fantastic meal in the bar, like nothing I've had in ages and they catered to my specific dietary needs, no problem at all. The whole staff seemed genuinely interested in our experience, always checking in on us.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but I think it was fair for what we got.
